I was going to suggest an Egyptian ressers crew with an archeologist as the master, but as I was typing that I heard it mentioned. So... instead go with HP Lovecraft as a neverborn master. And his crew are the old ones from his books, and he can summon more.

I recently proxies a Jan lo crew with games workshop tomb kings. An ushabti as asamu, a liche priest as Jan lo. Nefferata as Chiaki, war sphinx spearman as as ashigaru, a tomb prince as toshiro and warmaster war sphinx as komainu. It looks great on the table top! And as they are all ancestors fits well with the Egyptian background
