Friday Night Faux-Down! - 3/24/17

Hey folks! Welcome to the first episode of our new show, Friday Night Faux-Down! Unlike the regular SPS episodes, FNFD will consist of topics that are shorter and more relevant, as well as a shorter length and more frequent release schedule. This way we can be more topical and digestable that the regular show. Don't worry, Steam Powered Scoundrels aren't going anywhere.

Episode 9 - Rat Kings and Voodoo Queens

Warning! - this episode we use a lot more swears and discuss adult stuff.
 
We're Alive! After the The Other Side episode, we learned that scheduling issues and technology failures don't go together very well. We apologize for the delay. Please welcome a new host Trey Page. This episode we finally get to a segment that Victoria has been chomping at the bit to cover: character origins. Since we're the resident Malifaux fluff-cast, we took it upon ourselves to force our listeners to learn something. Of course we can't cover every model, so this is the first segment of hopefully several more down the line.
We also get back to making up models, using the Resurrectionist master we declared in episode 7. This segment was a rerecord so we apologize if it seems short.

Episode 8 - Murder Tuba

HEY LOOK! Different format?! This episode we ditch the Malifaux talk and take a trip to The Other Side! Wyrd's new wargame that takes place alongside Malfiaux (but in alternate-history Earth instead of alternate history alternate dimention accessed from alternate history Earth) is just wrapping up it's Kickstarter run HERE. They said they'd give us some sweet delicious episodes of Breachside Broadcast dedicated to The Other Side if the community dedicated enough episodes to the new game. So we did. This is it. We stick with our theme of "We're not the podcast for gameplay" and squeeze what fluff we can from all the details, models, videos, and whatnot provided. We have a new guest for this, Joseph Menear, as Dave made the mistake of frenching Hamelin on a dare. Joaeph hails from the Lecture Notes from the Breach podcast. Episode 7 - Flesh Towel

Welcome back! in this episode we see the return of Dave (boo hiss!). We keep stumbling forward on our trip through the parts of Malifaux that doesn't affect the game by discussing Soulstones a little more deeply that payin' folks to do some stabbin' for yeh. We finish out our Master rankings with the 10T (Spoiler: I still don't like Asami's face). Lastly, we continue making up models for the game, this time with 10 Thunders minions. On the next show we'll be doing Resurrectionist masters, so get us your ideas! Also, genuinely let us know if we should run a Patreon. It'd be used for better equipment so we can churn out content at a much more reliable rate. However, I don't want to pester folks to donate if they just aren't feeling like it, or don't want to hear us beg every episode.

We're bringing Dave back from the grave for this fifth episode.
Seriously, though, I'm sorry for how long this podcast took to publish. We'll be producing more frequently in the future, to be sure. Sadly, we also lost the first segment due to audio issues. What we DO have is the ranking of the Guild master models and a discussion on where the new masters rank. We also go over the models we challenged each other to make from episode 4.
